Community Center of Mendocino Spring BBQ and Open House with the Boonville Big Band

Starting at noon, enjoy food, fun and friendship, in and around our town’s beautiful 1930s grammar school building, home of the Community Center of Mendocino and the beloved After-School Enrichment Program. Hear local treasures Bob Ayres and the Boonville Big Band in an afternoon concert on the lawn that’s sure to bring out the local Swing Dance community. Share home-grilled savory treats from Roundman’s Smokehouse (or a vegan alternative). Take in a Children’s Chorus performance. Watch demos of children’s and adult classes. Make a keepsake in the children’s crafts area. That evening at 8, enjoy an indoor concert by the renowned Todalo Shakers, playing vintage jug-band party blues, stomps and rags.
