Discover the amazing coast just north of Point Arena at this special event. Sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, Friends of Point Arena/Stornetta Lands, Point Arena Lighthouse, Mendocino College and the California Native Plant Society this event will showcase the flora and fauna of these coastal treasures. Interpretive stations along hiking trails on the Point Arena/Stornetta Lands, at the Point Arena Lighthouse and the Mendocino College Field Station will educate and enlighten visitors about the treasure that is this part of the Mendocino coast. Docent led walks on geology, native plants of the coastal prairie and archaeology. Whale, bird, seal and Marine Mammal Center experts and food and drink at the Point Arena Lighthouse. Shuttle bus available. Free admission to all locations.
