Mycology in Industry (and Art)

Philip Ross makes vegan leather from mycelium. His industrial applications for this building block of fungi started some 20 years ago as an art project and over time have ‘mushroomed’ into a biotech company called Mycoworks.
 
This talk will illuminate the challenges of bringing new biological materials into compliance for manufacturing, and a map to rapid global implementation of resource efficient material production using fungi. There will be a mushroom-themed reception afterwards.
