Linda Ruffing is a Fort Bragg resident and a professional planner who has spent a great deal of her career working on planning for the reuse of the former Georgia-Pacific Mill Site in Fort Bragg. Linda served as Fort Bragg?s Community Development Director during the waning days of the GP timber mill and, after its closure in 2002, she managed the early visioning processes that led to the Coastal Trail and the Noyo Center for Marine Science. She later served as Fort Bragg?s City Manager and was integrally involved in oversight of the environmental clean-up of the Mill Site and the long-range planning process for future development of the property. Over time, Linda has gained a wealth of information that she is happy to share with anyone who is interested in the past, present, or future of the Mill Site.
