Wendell Rickon transforms MAC’s Nichols Gallery into “A Bedroom of Furniture and Accessories” in the rustic, recycled and upcycled tradition. “The idea of creating an entire bedroom of furniture in my style of woodworking has been on my mind for several years,” Wendell explains. “So when I was asked to produce a show at the Mendocino Art Center I knew right away what the theme would be.” Wendell has creatively constructed furniture items out of fruit boxes, wooden coat hangers, window frames, firewood, driftwood, pallets, a flywheel and more.
