The afternoon festivities include children?s carnival games, the raffle, the silent auction, a craft fair including face painting, spin art and sew-your-own stuffed animal, the cake auction, the famous $100 greased pole, a watermelon eating contest, sack races, and live music and entertainment on the outdoor-stage featuring Mama Grows Funk! There will be lots of food and drink, including George Montag?s New York-style hot dogs, focaccia bread from the Vincent Carleton Bread Oven served with Moroccan-style lentil soup as well as tamales and chicken Caesar salad from the kitchen. For dessert, you will find yummy treats at the Confectionery (AKA Sugar Shack). Quench your thirst with Greenwood Gold fresh pressed apple cider, a soft drink, coffee, local beer from the North Coast Brewing Company, local wine, or a margarita from Elk?s World-Famous Margarita Bar. Dinner starts at 4:00 p.m. On the menu is Chicken or Veggie Kebabs with Tzatziki, Greek Salad, and Roasted Lemon Potatoes. Raffle tickets are $3 each or six for $15. All proceeds this year will go to the new kitchen remodel and upgrade at the Community Center! Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on GREAT DAY!
