Jennifer is a former high school special education teacher for students with mild /moderate disabilities including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional and behavioral disabilities. She has extensive experience working with adolescents who endured adverse childhood experiences and lived in chronically traumatic living conditions. She uses her education, experience, and the exciting new research on the neurobiology of trauma to support bridging the gap between research on evidence-based trauma interventions and practice. In addition, Jennifer continues to synthesize research on trauma from a broad spectrum of disciplines to inform educational practice
